Michael P. Glisson has been a partner with WWF&G since 1997. He has litigated and tried numerous plaintiffs’ personal injury cases in the states of Illinois and Missouri, including those involving wrongful death, auto accidents, trip and falls, medical malpractice, workers compensation, and insurance disputes. During these years, he has successfully prosecuted several multi-million dollar claims, including a wrongful death case in excess of Eight Million Dollars. He has also argued cases in front of the Illinois Appellate Courts, the Federal Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and in 2007, before the Illinois Supreme Court. In addition to his law practice, Mr. Glisson is actively involved in supporting and participating in community and charitable causes, including the following:

Weidler v. Pacific Rail Services 08-L-322 2009
Driver killed in head on collision on I-55 in April of 2007. Defendant employed by Railroad company. Filed suit in St. Clair County for family of decedent, and in January of 2009, resolved claim by way of confidential settlement.
Hayes v. Barksdale, Len’s Towing 08-MR-4, 07-L-277 2009
In December 2006, Pedestrian killed while standing next to a tow truck and struck by a drunk driver. Represented 6 month old daughter against all liable parties in a claim in Madison County, and a related insurance dispute in Jersey County. Court held pedestrian was passenger of tow truck, insurance appealed to 4th District, and during appeal case was settled favorably against drunk driver, dramshop, towing company, and driver’s insurance.
Green v. Carlinville School District 05-L-8 2008
In 2005, filed suit for a woman who was molested by a school bus driver in 1991 when she was a kindergartener. Several children were molested and resolved their claims around that time. Plaintiff’s family did not desire that she go through litigation at that time. When she turned 18, she hired our firm to protect her rights. The trial court dismissed the case, finding the law had changed, and the school district was no longer liable as a common carrier. Appellate Court in 4th District overruled the trial court, finding the Defendant was liable. The case was favorably settled on a confidential basis.
Mayden v. Muny and City of St. Louis 0622-CC-06608 2008
70 year old plaintiff tripped on a guide wire at a Muny event in Forest Park. Suite was filed immediately in the City of St. Louis. Plaintiff had shoulder surgeries and permanent conditions. Used a day in the life video to prove damage. Settled prior to trial for a significant amount.
Peiper v. Progressive Insurance Sangamon County 2009
Plaintiff injured when driver crossed center line in heavy fog on two lane highway. Plaintiff had 2 surgeries to knee, and permanent injury. Progressive offered $150,000, and the offer was rejected. The case proceeded to binding arbitration, and the arbitration panel awarded $340,000 in Sangamon County.
Minor Plaintiff v. Homeowner Madison County 2008
Minor attacked by dog with permanent scars to legs and hands. Plaintiff had $10,000 in medical bills, settled case for $150,000.
Rae v. Dawg Haus Bar 07-L-241 2008
Plaintiff tried to break up a fight at a bar. Plaintiff assaulted by alleged intoxicated person, resulting in a severed spleen. Suit filed against bar pursuant to dramshop act. Defendant made no offer. Jury gave exact amount Plaintiff requested, $100,085.
Nicolet v. City of Alton 04-L-669 2008
Delay in response by City of Alton to a 911 call. Alleged 70 year old man died due to improper response time. Untrained officer answered 911 call due to a fall and caused delay in dispatch, and violated standards by not dispatching Fire Rescue. Victim went into cardiac arrest while waiting and died. Plaintiff hired cardiologist, 911 dispatcher, and paramedic as expert witnesses. Defendant disputed delay, and argued decedent would have died even with timely care. Case settled confidentially prior to trial.

- WRONGFUL DEATH - Man killed by drunk driver in head on collision in Godfrey, Illinois, both drivers died.
- WRONGFUL DEATH - Drunk driver struck and killed pedestrian in Godfrey, Illinois.
- WRONGFUL DEATH/PRODUCT LIABILITY - Victim drowned in boating incident, boat motor recalled after death due to ability to turn over without turning key.
- WRONGFUL PURSUIT - Police officer ran red light, and t-boned driver, causing severe accident, two back surgeries to Plaintiff.
- MEDICAL NEGLECT - Plaintiff hired medical car to take her to doctor. Wheelchair not secured, and driver stopped abruptly, causing Plaintiff to fall and fracture femur, subsequent amputation of leg.
- MEDICAL MALPRACTICE - Physician failed to perform proper cardiology workup which would have led to more treatment, and a diagnosis of cancer. 45 year old woman died of lung cancer thereafter. Representing her husband and four children.
